| Zebra Introduces New P420i Card Printer |
CAMARILLO, Calif., September 8, 2003 — Zebra Technologies (Nasdaq: ZBRA), a world leader in bar code labeling and card printing solutions, today announced it will market all of its card imaging products under the Zebra ® brand. Beginning in November 2003, all Eltron® brand plastic card printers and supplies will be re-branded Zebra. This change is aimed at building on the exceptional strength of the Zebra name while capitalizing on the synergy of the two product lines in key markets such as retailing, law enforcement, and security.
"Zebra is a strong brand with a history of providing excellent on-demand printing solutions in high-growth markets," said Veraje Anjargolian, Vice-president and General Manager of Zebra's Card Imaging Division. "This change allows us to more fully leverage the resources and recognition of Zebra Technologies, while building on the strength that we firmly established with the Eltron® brand for card printers."
Unifying card printer products under the Zebra brand will position the business better for long-term growth, state company officials. The brand change is expected to bring additional exposure and momentum to the success of Zebra's card printer products worldwide, which have experienced significant growth over the past seven years. |
