Zebra To Showcase New Eltron P310i Card Printer |

CAMARILLO, Calif., May 2, 2003 — Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a worldwide leader in bar code labeling and card printing solutions, will showcase its new P310i card printer on May 13, 2003 at the 13th Annual CardTech SecurTech Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. The P310i is based on the company's industry-leading single sided color card printer, the Eltron P310, and is the third printer to be introduced in the Eltron i Series Intelligent Printing System family. Like its predecessor, the new P310i is highly adaptable to diverse applications, such as education, retail, club membership and corporate environments.
This intelligent, fast, easy to use printer enables users to instantly produce personalized plastic cards for retail, loyalty and club membership programs, season passes to recreational areas and facilities, student campus cards, and employee identification badges. The P310i prints sharp, full-color photo images and graphics plus readable bar codes and text. Its space-saving, small footprint and quiet operation make it ideal for desktop and countertop applications.
The new Eltron P310i incorporates Zebra's i Series intelligent Windows driver with user-friendly tools designed to make computer interface with Eltron-brand card printers easier than ever before. The i Series Intelligent Printing System enables automatic detection the printer model and firmware version, magnetic encoder and ribbon type and operates with Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP. i Series printer drivers offer several enhancements to product reliability, user convenience and ease of installation. Installation features now include an auto-run CD with an InstallShield based wizard, various options (standard, custom, silent, repair/modify and un-install), and clear identification of the driver version number. The new Eltron P310i also offers color compatible print capability with the world's most popular card printer, the P310C.

Advanced Color Imaging: Eltron i Series Advanced Imaging performance is maximized through the Eltron Image Profile software and advanced image data processing, which enhances print quality in photo ID applications and produces cards with greater detail, image sharpness, and color control.
