Zebra Introduces New Eltron P310i Card Printer |

CAMARILLO, Calif., October 21, 2002 — Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a worldwide leader in bar code labeling and card printing solutions, today announced that it will introduce its new P310i plastic card printer at the CARTES international conference on card identification and security applications in Paris, France, on November 5, 2002. The new model is based on the company's industry-leading Eltron P310 single-sided color card printer, and is the second model to be introduced in the Eltron i Series Intelligent Printing System family.
This intelligent, fast, easy to use printer enables users to instantly produce personalized plastic cards for retail, loyalty and club membership programs, season passes to recreational areas and facilities, student campus cards, and employee identification badges. The P310i prints sharp, readable bar codes and text plus full-color photo images and graphics. Its space saving small footprint and quiet operation make it ideal for desktop and countertop applications.
Eltron i Series Intelligent Printing System
RFID Technology: Eltron i Series printers feature an intelligent printing system incorporating RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. This technology makes the new printer very easy to use by minimizing the need for user intervention, with the following features:

Advanced Color Imaging: Eltron i Series Advanced Imaging performance is optimized through the Eltron Image Profile software and advanced image data processing, which enhance colors printed on cards for improved print quality in photo ID applications and produces a card printed with greater detail, image sharpness, and color control.
