Zebra Technologies Announces Authorized Service Partner Agreement with IBM For On Site Service of Eltron Card Printers |

CAMARILLO, Calif., April 10, 2000 — Zebra Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: ZBRA), the worldwide leader in bar code and plastic card printing solutions, announced that it has extended its authorized service partner agreement with the IBM Printing Systems Company to provide on-site maintenance service for its line of Eltron Card Printer Products. The program initially provides field service for installations in the United States.
The IBM on-site service program was introduced to Eltron Card Printer Products resellers at its recent Americas Partner Conference, held in Santa Barbara, CA. Richard Hodgson, Eltron Card Printer Products Director, Customer Support, introduced the program, commenting, "Our reseller partners are very excited about the addition of IBM's world class Warranty Plus on site service program to our growing selection of Eltron Card Printer service offerings. They recognize that user customers are becoming increasingly reliant on card printers in their business operations. Access to IBM service means our customers can implement additional card based applications with confidence."
The program is available now and covers Eltron card printer models P310, P400, P420, P500 and P600, with two-year and three-year on site extended warranty and same business day response. Service options include installation, annual preventative maintenance and magnetic stripe encoder. The IBM Printing Systems Company has over 1,850 specialized customer engineers in 13 service districts. |
